Which color appointment to book
Color only: one all-over shade from root to end, or root color to refresh your regrowth. The simplest way to change or keep up your color.
Cut and color: your color and a cut in the same appointment, finished and styled.
Cut and highlight: a cut with highlights for brightness and dimension, with Brian.
Highlight only: brightness and dimension without the cut. It sits with balayage and partial highlights on our balayage and highlights page.
Fantasy color: vivid shades with Stephen, planned and priced at a consultation first.
Who it suits
Color only suits anyone who wants one even shade, whether that is a new color or keeping up the one you have. Cut and color suits anyone who would rather do both in one visit. If you want brightness more than a change of shade, highlights or balayage may suit you better.
Covering or blending gray? See dimensional gray coverage, which starts with a free consultation with Brian. Unhappy with color from somewhere else, or from a box? See color correction.
How the appointment goes
- The shade: we talk through the color you want and how it will grow out. Photos help.
- Mixing: your stylist mixes the formula for your hair.
- Application and processing: we apply the color and time it to your hair.

Questions clients ask
What is the difference between all-over color and root color?
All-over color takes one shade from root to end. Root color covers only the regrowth, so the rest of your color stays as it is. Both book as Color only, and your stylist decides which your hair needs.
How long does it take?
Times for each option and stylist are listed above, from the GlossGenius menu.
How often should I come back?
It depends on how fast your hair grows and how far your color is from your natural shade. Your stylist will suggest timing.
Can I bring a photo?
Yes, please. It is the fastest way for us to understand the shade you want.
What if I've used color at home?
Tell us when you book or at a consultation. Home color can change the plan, and in some cases a color correction is the right first step.
